Solution

Prepared “Asset Tracker“ extension that helps customer to track and manage assets. According to the list of requirements, the extension provides the following functionality:

Keep a list of Assets and Assets Group to organize assets in an easy-to-find manner

Add picture as an asset's logo, specify a customizing Asset type, Fixed asset account, Accumulated depreciation account, and Deprecation expense account. Just double-click the asset to view the transactions or asset detail.

Generate a Depreciation Schedule

Simply fill a few fields:
1. Starting Month and Year
2. Deprecation method
3. Useful life (in Years or Months)
4. Year start
5. Salvage value
and generate a Deprecation schedule for the Fixed Asset.
Depreciation transactions will be created automatically on the due date based on the schedule created

Change the Value of an Asset

Change the Value of an Asset from the list of assets by entering the difference to increase or decrease the value of the asset.

Enter a custom depreciation amount, not on the schedule

Add Custom Deprecation with the specific Date and Amount. All necessary accounting entries will be created.

Dispose of the Asset

Create Fixed Asset Disposal with the Specific Date and Amount. All necessary accounting entries will be created.

Generate Asset Tracker Report

Generate Asset Tracker Report to get comprehensive information about your assets and related transactions in Summary and Details views. Use filters by Asset(s) and Type(s), and sort assets as you need.
